*UPDATE* We are keeping the sale open for an additional week or so, as someone asked us to keep it available until they were paid, and a flash sale is potentially unfair to those who live close to the edge of their overdrafts (we should know). So the sale is STILL ON NOW! *UPDATE OVER*
From Midday October 23rd, we’re having a ONE WEEK FLASH SALE where you can buy all of our digital back catalogue for just £20! That’s six albums and one EP! More on that at the bottom, but first – here’s why …
Seven years ago we played our very first gig. It was at an event called ‘The Midnight Matinees’ at the Tristan Bates Theatre in Covent Garden on October 22nd 2011.
Well. Actually, technically, our first ever gig together was the night before during a mixed bill show hosted and curated by Colin Hoult, at the Leicester Square Theatre Basement. But Colin, already relatively pissed and overexcited, couldn’t remember the name of our act, and introduced as “um, Jonny and his … friend”. So we’re not counting that one. That was a one-off performance by the avant garde act “um, Jonny and his … friend”, who just happened to look like us and do semi-accurate versions of “Robert” and “Quentin Blake”.
Anyway. We are seven. Apparently, according to a book:
“Most 7-year-olds display an unending thirst for knowledge and will have an innate curiosity and excitement about things in the world. They are natural explorers, scientists, and analysts, and often ask questions about everything from why the sky is blue to where babies come from. At this age, they also take great pride in sharing their knowledge about things.”
And that sounds bang on.
To celebrate this milestone we’re having a FLASH SALE, where you can buy all of our digital back catalogue for just £20!CLICK HERE to go to the deal – click on ‘full digital discography’ half way down the page! It looks like this (see below):
Just a quick one! We’re hugely pleased to announce we’ll be playing at Kaleidoscope Festival at Alexandra Palace, London on July 21st!
The lineup is mega (just have a butchers on that link!) and it’ll be our first show for a while following Jonny becoming a father so it should be grand. We’re hugely looking forward to it and tickets are available HERE.
Here’s a little trailer to wet the ol’ appetite! I mean – we’re not in the trailer but I’m sure that’s some sort of computer error.
We’re working on new material but every time we write something silly about the world, the world does something even sillier. So while we figure things out, we’re doing a run of dates with lots of new songs (and some old ones) to try to make sense of the mess.
★★★★ ‘Brilliant – the closest thing the Fringe has to rock gods’Fest Magazine
We made Thirty Christmases in Oxford last year. Jonny wrote it, and we wrote the songs, and it stars the very brilliant RACHEL PARRIS. It’s real theatre and everything, with a real director called Alice Hamilton who’s directed things people liked at proper places. Here’s some info…
TOP TEN UK CHRISTMAS SHOWS **** ‘Warm, witty & touching’ The Stage.
‘Christmas Eve, 17 years ago, is the last time we saw Dad. Hello, I’m Jonny. This is my sister Rachel. And this is Paddy, who’s… always there.’ Jonny and Rachel haven’t had a good Christmas in years, but this time they’re going to get it right. First they’ve got some things to sort out, and a story to tell you…
Hilarious and heart-warming, this is a rebellious Christmas comedy for grown-ups, featuring all the stress of family, politics and sibling rivalry, and all the joy of songs, laughter and love.
